Last night we were woken up by a friend who's in London on business. The reason they couldn't wait to call us? They'd come across some napkins they had to tell us about. We looked at the clock. Napkins? It's 3:30 in the morning. This had better be good.
It was. Rolldrap are roll of pre-cut, 100% biodegradable cotton or linen napkins which come on a roll like paper towels and that can be torn off, used and then washed and reused, recycled or composted. The convenience of paper, the elegance of cloth. Worth the wake-up call. And yes, they promised to bring us back a roll. For more information, click here.

It should be noted that regular paper towels can be composted, and are too biodegradable.
how many times does this stand being re used?
dint quite seem green
"The convenience of paper, the elegance of cloth. "
but i like my cotton cloth napkins!
Cotton is raised industrially and has associated pesticide/ herbicide/ water and land use issues. Take that and combine it with disposable, and suddenly it sounds more like a luxury gimmick than an environmentally sound item.
Maybe if you needed an industrial strength lint free polishing cloth that you could use solvents with, these would be great. Jewelry polishing, anyone?
I would get these to clean up pet accidents...that's the only thing I use paper for anymore. I just can't bring myself to wash poopy or pee-filled towels and reuse them.
You mean a papertowel that takes LONGER to biodegrade? Really? How is this green at all? Use paper towel when necessary, otherwise use reusable, WASHABLE cloths. YESH!
