Name: Roman (8) & Callum (6)
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Color Inspiration: The inspiration for this room came from the boys' favorite colors of red and blue. My husband & I are originally from England and wanted to incorporate the boy's heritage into their room. Hence the "cool britannia" vibe.
Color Inspiration continued: Fortunately, the British flag, along with the other British memorabilia, blend in nicely with all of the other decor choices. I would say that the room is colorful without being too distracting, so they can still get a good nights sleep. We painted the beds grey to match the large armoire that has been in the room since it was a nursery. The walls are also a light grey with a chalk board accent wall. The colors are all echoed in the floor rug.
Tip for Using Color: With children's rooms be bold and be bright; take chances & experiment. Then when they bring in new toys, they won't stick out like a sore thumb.
Colors Used: Red, blue, grey, white.
Thanks for your colorful entry Suzanne and good luck!
