To enter our Romantic Bedroom Giveaway, Anne (in Reno) sent us this photo of an inspiration bedroom. I don't love this for the gray walls, but the light and that bright blanket (an easier way to bring in the bright colors than my three coats of paint).
Below the jump, Anne (in Reno)'s bedroom tip...
Romantic Bedroom Tip: Our bedroom gets great light all day, so instead of fancy draperies, I hung plain white sheers (just thick enough so the neighbors can't see in) and painted the walls a really saturated shade of blue. It makes the light even more amazing, and turned the room from a place I mostly ignored to a place I love to spend time.
Thanks, Anne (in Reno)!

mmm that's definitely my style!
I love the tufted headboard because it's shorter than so many of the out-sized versions I've seen. Who is offering it?
I love that headboard, too. The seaming between the tufts is a great detail, and that white leather looks luxe.
I don't know where it's from, but it looks more high-end than most tufted headboards I've seen.
I'm thinking this one must've been a custom job - they sourced a very similar one, the Fairfax headboard from Williams Sonoma.
I'd love to see a closeup of the porcelain dog. Is that a dachshund?
The clear glass of the lamp helps add to the blue glow. A very effective use of color and light.

Here is the link to where I found the photo, sorry but they only source the paint colors, not the headboard.
Actually, I like the gray walls. I remember seeing a show on HGTV where they showcased a famous designer's apartment (his name escapes me at the moment). The guy did everything in gray with accents of color that he could switch out easily. It looked very sleek and sophisticated.
oh, the bedside lamp would be perfect for my room. where did you find it?
ditto on the headboard; i've wanted one like this forever!
Yay another great chesterfield style headboard and im loving those tones of blue/dark teal... my fav of the day!
And does anyone know where the bedside tables are from????
