As you prepare your outdoor space for the warmer weather, consider these options for romantic chandelier lighting in the garden:
• For a rustic look, try a wire chandelier meant to display candles. The one pictured in the second photo above is by Raymentwire.
• If you think you might get tired of this look by the end of the summer, why not just convert an old salvage chandelier into a candle chandelier for hanging outside. It'll rust, of course, and deteriorate eventually, but in the meantime you'll have a kind of vintage/elegant atmosphere.
• If you'd rather have electric light than candles, try winding some outdoor string lights around the wire frame of an old salvage chandelier (see third photo). Whimsical and festive!
• Use a pot rack, some chain link, and a bunch of glass jars to make a beautiful DIY candle chandelier. The fourth photo shows a version you can learn to make on iDIY.
• For a temporary solution for a party, consider stringing up an old chandelier as you would a piƱata, with a rope suspended over a tree branch and tied around the tree trunk. The fifth photo (from Domino) is such a pretty example of this playful idea.
• Another DIY idea involves simply tucking a few jars with candles into a wire basket and decorating it with chandelier crystals (see last photo above). A fun project to do with kids! See Sunset for the tutorial.

all I can think of with that first picture is "Don't sit under there or the wax will drip on you!"
Funny timing! I just got a wire candelier for a dollar at the flea market, and then I got 6 clear glass votive holders in a kind of angular shape to glue onto the candle holders as lanterns -- not sure how else I will decorate it, but I plan to use it outside! Trendier than I knew!
