The Bouroullec brothers are at it again and they never seem to disappoint. We talk about them so frequently because their designs are always original and usually awe-inspiring. Some past favorites have been the Vegetal Chair and their Clouds Textile Display but this recent project may be the best yet.
The Quilt Sofa is constructed from hi-tech stretch fabric with individual foam pieces inside each hexagon and placed on top a fiberglass shell and steel frame. Just seeing this couch makes us want to touch and sit upon it.

Oh good god. Being 10 below with 30 mph winds here in Michigan, that chair is calling me! A good book and a cup of tea- that chair looks like heaven. I wonder how comfortable it actually is.

look cool but how obscenely expensive is it? their little felt patches are $300/pop, so I'm guessing this is in the many thousands range but it doesn't say how much on their website.
oooo this is so neat. it's like a puffy coat. unfortunately i am in the time of life where i think "wow, think of all the Cheerio crumbs my daughter could fit in those quilted seams."
It looks more like a large chair than a couch but that doesn't make me want it any less.
