We cover room dividers quite a bit here. Whether you live in a large loft or a small studio, the addition of a divider can help to create harmony and privacy among roommates, create an entry way, or simply block a busy and cluttered workspace from view.
Here are some inspiration pictures for room dividers. A couple of them are more decorative than practical, but would still help define a space for an entry way for example.

The first two are just "Wow"
#1 and #5 are fantastic
#1 and #2 are very pretty, and #3 makes a lot of sense for dividing a bedroom from a closet. #4 is kind of bizarro hospital, and #5, it seems to me, eliminates any semblance of an open floor plan - the wall might as well be full-height.
#1 is stunning, and my taste is nothing like this.
#2 is visually interesting for a moment, but I can't picture anyone actually using that space by sitting there.
#3 -- sure, okay.
#4 is, indeed, bizarro hospital -- Emily the Cat couldn't have put it much better. It looks like I might be sedated there by aliens disguised as breathy-voiced nurses who intend to use me as an incubator for their eggs.
#5 looks to me like a serviceable solution to a difficult problem.
I love #1, sure, it's totally not my style but the idea can be adapted to any decor. a far cry from the mirrored walls of days gone by.
#1 and #5 are just incredible! Sophisticated and inventive.
What's on the other side of the big frame and what's it filled with? Is that a painting or just canvas? I don't think it's a mirror. (#1)
@FantasticMrFaux
its the headboard behind the mirror in #1
I think it is a scrim or stretched canvas with nothing on it cause you can still see the silhouette of the headboard as well as the ceiling deatil through it
Also I think a mirror that size would be incredibly heavy--would it even be safe to hang it from the rafters? I agree that is scrim of some kind and that it is beautiful.
