Where is the couch from? Love your "crib".

The couch is from Room and Board a couple of years back and of course I can't remember the model, but I love it.

i like this room a lot. It is very down to earth, very comfortable, like walking into a friends place and your friend happens to have very good taste. I was getting tired of seeing the requisite Eames chairs and appreciate seeing stuff from West Elm and CB2 used in tasteful, stylish ways! I almost got that coffee table awhile back and have been eyeballing that tripod lamp for ever now! :) Very nicely put together!

I love the overall feel of the room. It's cozy without feeling cluttered, and the color scheme is very inviting.

Thanks amiencc. Both of the wood tables are flea market finds and that tripod lamp is an online discount version of the more expensive models you can find.

I try to balance value purchases like those choices with the much more expensive rug from DRW and the custom Nate Berkus chair.

This really doesn't work for me. Too many things going on with many different colors: turquosie, white and beige? seating with glass and wood (dark and light) colors. The artwork has a lot of pink. There is nothing pulling together all different colors.

love it...looks comfortable, not fussy or over-decorated.

Thanks for your feedback. I know strong color coordination, particularly with woods, is important to some folks, and I can appreciate that.

It's just not something we prioritize. We like a mix of materials.

I wish it was an IKEA rug, but it is the Magrana rug by nanimarquina from DWR, a splurge on my part.

That color is from Porter Paint and is called Nutshell 6748-1.

It is fairly close to Benjamin Moore Alexander Beige, HC-77.

We chose this color because the walls that abut this room are in another Porter shade called Greenstone Gray, 7066-1 and the two play off each other nicely.

Where are the plants? Plants add negative ions to the air which make you feel good.

You know the really interesting thing about this room is that it works as a single, unitary expression.

Greening: I travel 150 days a year; hence no plants other than some succulents in the other rooms. But I totally get the value they bring. With my long absences keeping them alive just wasn't working.
