With only 12 stores scattered across the U.S., Room & Board has been an intriguing yet often unattainable resource for many on the furniture hunt. While the company does have online sales, I know I'm not the only one who has been hesitant to buy a couch or bed without seeing it in real life first.
That's why I was excited to see that the first store in the Pacific Northwest is due to open this fall. Located in University Village in Seattle, Room & Board will move into what used to be the second floor of the recently vacated Barnes & Noble.

Nomade Express Slee...
Please. If you don't like chains, don't go to U Village. Seattle is not hurting for handmade furniture. But those of us without $8k to spend on a single piece of furniture will cheer the addition of a store serving our demographic in a city that has almost nothing between IKEA and Roche Bobois or spendy artisan/handmade. And, for once, one that sells wood furniture with clean lines in a finish other than "espresso," C&B's favorite color.
