As we continue into color month, I thought I would venture into metallics with a showcase of silver rooms.
Silver wallcovering seems to be the crucial factor in creating a silver room because otherwise it is just a room with silver accessories, right?

Blech!
Silver rooms such as #1, 6 and 9 - Total Glamour!
Some of the others - Not so much glamour as glitz...
A little silver goes a long way.
the first picture looks like a stage. Imagine getting up in the middle of the night and falling off the platform! Can it ever get dark in that room?
I dislike them all. I find them pretentious and tacky.
Here's the recap I did (with screen grabs) on Auntie Mame's apartment...and yes that first bedroom is spot-on-Auntie-Mame.

that lounge chair in her bedroom... curvy and wide... what kind of chair is that?
Is that a real bedroom....or the set of Mommie Dearest??
Sparrow, You always have the best round-ups on AT.
I love the duvet cover in Pic 4. Can anybody give me a source for it? Thanks!
Good point re the wallcovering. Also, it seems like a silver room needs to be overstuffed or at least have a lot of fabric/plush things in order to not seem cold. Quite a challenge, but I love this when it's done well!
The 7th shot isn't silver at all -- it is a white Tord Boontje "Until Dawn" curtain backed by a clear shower curtain in a bathroom...
I love them all! Especially #5.
I kind of adore. I've been trying to find a way to work with my dark silver headboard, perhaps I just need to get monochromatic with it.
I paid more attention to Ivanka in the 3rd pic.
