Lovely! Unfortunately, my cats would see it as a giant scratching post ;)
Love the organic modernism trend. This table is a little too ornate to qualify for modernism, imho. More of a mix between a hollywood regency shape and organic modernism materials.
Hah, definitely not something I could ever see our cat around. She'd think I'd given her the most wonderful new scratching post in the world!
PegsterC, StayAtHomeSci The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was, "Wow! Cats would think that they'd died and gone to kitty heaven, if their owners brought that home!" I'd want to sharpen my claws on it and I'm human...
i have always equated organic materials with modern design to the Eames'. Pictures of their case study home in California seemed to exude organic materials and foreign designs as well as modern lines to the furniture and architecture. So, I guess organic modernism is considered trendy, but, to me it's just a realization of the genius of the modern masters.we're not a big fan of glass-topped tables, but, this seems natural since it allows the design underneath to show. oh, how i love a good 70s vibe.
