Rosanna makes us see the appeal of holiday dishes, despite our vow to keep a single set to serve the whole year in our teeny apartment. Now we're thinking vow might be a little strong.
Though we tend to gravitate towards cleaner, more subdued modern designs, we are strangely drawn to this almost-trad tableware that works — meaning, it’s neither too bland nor too ironic and stays nice and sweet.
We missed the day when Rosanna had an actual store here in Seattle’s U Village, mere steps from our house. Since closing her shop in January, she’s made a vast selection of her inventory available online, but you can still peruse in person via retailers such as Watson Kennedy, Anthropologie and Nordstrom. And she still has sales out of her warehouse. In fact, one’s coming up: • December 1st from 8:30 am to 6 pm • 440 S. Holgate St. Seattle, WA 98134 • Cash only; credit cards will be accepted for purchases of $50 or more
