I would hardly say that Starbucks is my go-to source for design inspiration or, for that matter, coffee. Yet about year ago, Starbucks introduced eco-friendly tables by Roscoe Jackson into some of their stores. And while you might recognize their minimalist pieces from the coffee mecca and our earlier coverage, I recently came across the company's more playful side in its asterisk stool.
Like the company's other pieces, which are locally-produced through sustainable design practices, the stool is made of recycled HDPE plastic. The asterisk stool is ergonomically constructed to be good for your body too.
While checking all the boxes in the do-gooder department, the stool also has whimsy in its cheeky form and hues. In a welcome bit of levity, who could resist a seat whose design seems intent on asterisk marking your own remarkable asset.
