These are some of the coolest chairs we've seen in a while: green, ultra-versatile, and made right here in Chicago. Local designers Roscoe Jackson (aka Caleb Dawson, Shawn Gnann, and Thomas Fowler) designed their indoor/outdoor Possum Chairs and Side Table from 100 percent recycled plastic...

The shape is based on a structural I-beam and held together with corrosion-resistant steel fasteners. The recycled HDPE comes from Minnesota, and is available in black, white, or two-tone. You can also get the chair in "natural" - the inherent color of the plastic, which changes depending on what's being recycled.

Caleb and Shawn named their design firm after their dogs. According to their website, "Roscoe Jackson started in the dog park but it really got serious at the keg party. We were friends before we became partners on a mission to design modern, approachable products that are fun to use and built to last." The Recycled Plastic Possum Chair is available through Roscoe Jackson's site or Sprout Home for $285.
