Hayes Valley emporium of style Rose & Radish is honoring their love of the city with a new store theme (they change every 2-3 months) launched just this week: Urban.
A bit of a departure from more ethereal themes of yore (Egg, Water, etc.), Urban is all about the hard, edgy feel of the street, but the steel furnishings, industrial lighting, and graffiti-inspired installation by San Francisco artist Kate Durkin are softened by city-pretty flowers like hybrid calla lilies, succulents, and tight tulips.
R & R is also launching "The Sixty Forty Print Club" with the Urban theme: Kate Durkin will create a theme-inspired signed, limited-edition print, with all profits split sixty/forty between the artist and a selected non-profit.
URBAN's in the house through (roughly) May.
