Rose's Modern Graphic Abode

My Room

Name: Rose (4)
Location: Haarlem area, The Netherlands

With her little brother on the way we had to make a playful and spacious room for Rose. Being our old bedroom we could start from a clean, white slate.

We had no specific plan up front but wanted the same feel as her brother Tom's nursery, which was also featured here on Apartment Therapy. So mainly the same color scheme (grey, white and red) and furniture style but a bit more girly. A big can of bright red paint, a new bought dresser for clothing, a second-hand junior bed, and one happy little girl later we were all awaiting our new arrival.

Same as Tom's room, most of the furniture is from IKEA (they have great budget furniture); red PS Cabinet, white dresser with draws (our own design with the STUVA system), white book shelf LACK, and paper lamp PS MASKROS.

The little wooden chair is an old Dutch kindergarten chair, the tea cabinet was found at a dumpstore and painted white, the font specimen posters are from a Dutch font designer - Chris Brand, the two small silkscreen and etching art works are from Dutch artists and were given at her birth, the paper play house is by www.Kidsonroof.com and the crochet dachshund is by Anne Claire Petit.
