Name: Rose, "Rosey Posey" (4)
Location: Japantown, San Jose, California
We wanted to create a room as vibrant, happy, creative, and fun as our 4-year old daughter. Items are thrifted, sentimental, or handmade.
Rose's great-grandmother painted the blue tree. The other paintings are by me (her mother) and Rose. We have limited closet space, so the armoire was purchased and painted for under $100. She picked out all of the items for the design and had a hand in the painting. Rose also picked the vintage wrapping paper for her dresser (a scratched and dented as-is Malm from IKEA). The wall mural includes creatures Rose loves, and her art is on display above her table. The bed was a bargain at $75 on Craigslist. Her father's toybox holds her favorite stuffed friends. She loves playing with her little people, reading, and jumping on her new bed.
Thanks, Apartment Therapy, for helping me to design my daughter's room. I look to you for ideas all of the time.
Thanks, Adrienella! Well done!

White Enamel Four-P...
How sweet! I got my name (Posy) from my dad calling me Rosy Posy as a baby - the Posy part stuck and here I am 36 years later with that as my (legal) first name.
A happy space indeed!
I'm surprised there aren't more comments, I love this room! So cheerful and original and fun. LOVE the armoire!
Where is the adorable little girl rug from? I love it.
What a great space! This is the best use of Ikea furniture I've ever seen.
Adorable and imaginative! What a happy room for a child!
Thanks so much for the very kind comments. Whiletheynap, the rug is a yard sale find. I think it's intended as a wall hanging.
