Name: Ros
Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang Malaysia
Type of Home: room in parents' home
Color Inspiration: I painted my bedroom wall hot pink a couple of years ago after being inspired by a TV series. I then went abroad for a while, came back home and just realized that I was stuck with a very girlish color. Instead of repainting the wall with a different color, I challenged myself to work around it to make the room look more mature.

Color Inspiration continued: To accomplish this, I decided to use white, to help lighten up the room and to achieve a sense of space since my bedroom is quite small; grey, to tone down the brightness of pink while injecting a contemporary feeling to the room; and a hint of green, to make the whole scheme less boring. I played around with the color scheme and I think they work pretty well in the end.
Colors Used: The wall paint is Dulux Pentalite Easy Clean Flamingo Pink.
Color Tip: Always be brave to try out new or bold colours. With the right arrangement, anything could work. And, stand behind your choice of colours. Other people might not get it, but oh well, you’re the one who’s going to see your room everyday.

I have a feeling that when you move out on your own your home will look stunning.
I like your room, and I really like your philosophy :)
I love it!
Love the grown up spin on a pink bedroom! It looks amazing!
I love the philosophy you have! It's amazing what accesories here and there can really make a room great. You are on the right path, good luck!
I like it!
must be nice to fall asleep and wake up to, screams "absolutely no regrets" and "no depression!"
great with the rustic touches and moody window too, we haven't seen this before.
I like this, but I think the pink would be disorienting in real life, at least for me.
Love it...the pink doesn't seem girly to me, it seems glossy and sophisticated.
