To solve this dilemna, he hired a set-designer friend and created a mechanized rotating group of bedroom furniture...

if you REALLY wanted to do this, I don't know why it would have to be mechanic! Couldn't you just spin it on the casters? Reminds me of the huge rotating set pieces we constructed in highschool theatre.

All those tiny little casters with all that bulky furniture must do a real number on the floor.
It is disappointing that he did not make the roof retractable so that when he was tired of the roaring fireplace he could fall asleep under the stars...

Wow - that's just silly. 90% of a director's job is making decisions. Hits or no hits, I would hate to see the budget overruns this sort of waffling leads to.
If he spent $1000 to have movers switch the furniture seasonally, he might actually figure out which way he liked his bed. Then he could donate the remaining $20-$30k to a worthy charity or take a spectacular vacation. That is, if he could decide where he wanted to vacation...
