Looking for a way to break out of the grid and introduce some curves into your space? Round rugs can work well in small spaces, since they expand beyond the hard edges of furniture and define "pools" of space rather than the rectangular zones created with a traditional rug. We've gathered a few examples of round rugs at work.

Most of these are just poor examples - just too small like the bathmats in pix #1, 5 and running down the hall like stepping-stones in pic 9...
...and that oddball fishscale treatment against the wall in #10 - Could you imagine trying to vacuum that?
urban outfitters has a really gorgeous round feather print rug that i'm considering buying for our living room. everything we own is really hard and angular, and i think it would really help to soften up the look a bit. i love round rugs.
I agree. Not very inspiring. I thought about a round rug for my space to just for something different. After seeing this though, I'll stick to the rectangles.
I love the black and white floral rug with the pink Eames rocker. Nicely done.
