Southern California really offers outdoor living year round so take your upcoming holiday party outside and enjoy the cool evening air. Here is a round up of neat outdoor accessories to add flavor and design to any outdoor soiree.
The average winter temp at night in Los Angeles is 48 degrees so prepare for your outdoor party by providing some heat. We love these new products by
Kindle Living featuring Kindle Glow, Kindle Heater and Kindle Lumen. Such a cool twist on an outdoor heater! You can buy or rent these heaters and they're also made from eco-friendly material.
There are tons of seasonal cocktails but we prefer to go with a refreshing summer cocktail in a classic rocks glass -
the Gimlet. Pick up some
vintage rocks glasses at your local flea market.
Have some non-alcoholic drinks ready for guests not partaking in spirits. We love this pretty
Eva Solo Tea Set Brewer featured in the photo gallery.
If you have your outdoor living space set up already, you probably have a table, chairs, etc. Add some extra seating/foot stools/fun to dance on later in the night
gold ottomans to the mix.
Our fave soiree is kind of a free for all when it comes to the food. We like to set up a spread for our guests to come enjoy as the please. Instead of bowls (unless there's a liquid like a gravy involved), we use trays to display the food. We are digging these
wood trays and would consider
adding a custom cut piece of mirror to each one. If the dish had room on it, like a cheese plate, we'd add a few tea lights and the reflection off the mirror can add a little ambiance to the party.

While our personal
favorite party lighting are white string lights, we also love
paper lanterns to add light in the dark. We spotted this creative way to make them a bit more festive from
Martha Stewart. (shown in the photo gallery) Instead of butterflies, place holiday items, like cut-outs of colorful firecrackers or snowflakes, on them.
You may be nice and cozy from the Kindle Glow and have some light from the paper lanterns, but we love the idea of adding a little extra brightness outside. The
Blomus Terra Fire Basket is a festive addition and everyone looks *gorgeous* by fire or candle light!
We are all for bringing indoor items outside and artwork is no exception. Hang or lean your favorite pieces outside for your guests to enjoy as well. This black and white
canvas of New York hangs in our own LA backyard.
Last but certainly not least - music! This is one of the most important accessories of any party to get the energy flowing. Make a mix of your favorite old school tunes or get inspired by your own space to make your
outdoor play list.
