What other sources have you found for rustic tables with modern appeal?
A few months ago I fell hard for Catherine's beautifully hand-carved coffee table — pictured in her house tour— and have been on a quest for something equally rustic and full of character. While none had quite the same appeal, here are a few favorite runner-ups, most of which have been made from reclaimed wood.

Modernrustfurniture.com is a great resource for tables.
I love a coffee table that has room for a bunch of crap on it. (... and by that I mean room for a display of carefully arranged objects that appear to have been randomly placed without any thought whatsoever) I'm still working on that one. Honestly though ... it's so much nicer to have a table you feel like you can put your feet on. A glass or lucite coffee table may look nice, but a rustic wood one also feels nice.
Oly Studios has a great rustic coffee table, called the pee wee cocktail table. The slab of wood on the top is truly organic in feel--Very natural, like a Nakashima sensibility towards the wood. Here is a link, but I am not sure the picture does it total justice. http://www.olystudio.com/products/tables/pdf/pee%20wee%20cocktail.pdf.
Oops, sorry, the link didn't work. Try this one, or google Oly and look for the pee wee table. http://www.olystudio.com/products/tables/peewee_cocktail.htm
Knoll's Nakashima coffee table is a nice modern look that has a rustic feel as well:

How about DIY? http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com/ Apartment Therapy did a post about her in January (http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/sf/how-to/how-to-make-knockout-knockoff-furniture-105630) and I've been obsessed ever since.
I'm swooning over the Neiman-Marcus table. Now all I need to do is win the lottery.
Thank you Kateliz for the http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com link. I collect driftwood and other battered stuff, and it makes stunning furniture.
Love Catherine's coffee table - something to aspire to!
This may be more work than you're willing to do, but my husband built tables like this when I became obsessed with the Restoration Hardware version. $75 worth of steel (welded by a wonderful friend) and some reclaimed wood from my husband's grandfather made a gigantic coffee table, and two tall console tables. They're exactly what I wanted (and cheaper than ANYTHING else we found).
I just ordered a coffee table for my new apartment and it's very similar to the last one (the one by Carolina Rustica). The stores here in Norway all have versions similar to that one and the one by Restoration Hardware. I see a lot of those tables in real estates ads that have used stylists too. Both the apartment I bought and the one I sold had that type of table.
It's probably going to be very dated in a few years, but I don't care since I really liked it.
In the first picture of the Wisteria Coffee Table, does anyone happen to know what the tall plant/tree to the left is?
^^It is a fiddle leaf fig tree.
