If there's one thing we all love around here, it's a comfortable office chair. For us, those chairs are like beds since we spend the majority of our days typing, coding, and browsing away at little computer screens and given enough time, we think the cost-benefit will eventually pay off. Plus, they just look so much cooler than your generic office chair. Check out our roundup, complete with jaw dropping design and prices, after the jump!
Chairs like the Allsteel office chair features heavy industrial design influence with cushion-y back and butt support for long sitting sessions ($850).
The Embody chair by Herman Miller also has enough design to satisfy the anti-Aeron crowd, but careful... the price may scare you away ($1600).
The Pininfarina is like the Ferrari of office chairs. With $1.5 million in development costs, you can bet your wallets that you'll be getting some ergonomic value for your money ($2000).
Go Steelcase. We love their Leap chairs ($1650)!
Or you can stick with the classics. Nearly every company carries one of these around to bolster their status, so why not grab one yourself. The Aeron chairs have tons of adjustments and continue to be a quick-pick when it comes to ergonomic chairs ($950).
However, one of our favorites continue to be the Humanscale Freedom chair because of its fine build quality and comfortable head support ($1150).

I just got a Herman-Miller Celle chair. If the Aeron is the mating of ergonomics with a sleek Alien, the Celle, a cheaper range, is the mating of ergonomics and a lawn chair. Yet it has all the adjustments and support I need. Suddenly I can take on the world behind my keyboard again.
we have a couple of freedoms in our home office and they are awesome. We have some humanscale keyboard trays and foot rests also. They make quality stuff for sure.
Love my Leap chair - super cumfy :).
I adore my 2 Herman Miller Mirra chairs. I have one at work and one at home!
Just swapped a Freedom for an exercise ball. Well, maybe swapped is the wrong word. I "replaced" a Freedom with an exercise ball after my horrible posture caused the cast steel base to snap in two.
The good news is that I really like the ball and my posture is better.
I love the Zody by Haworth. It is the only chair endorsed by the American Physical Therapy Association and is made with sustainability in mind. www.haworth.com
