Every year, Baltimore gets to host one of the American Craft Council's annual shows. While the Council also holds shows in Atlanta, Charlotte, St. Paul, San Francisco, and Sarasota - Baltimore is privileged to be the largest indoor, juried craft show in the country. Now celebrating its 33rd year in Baltimore, over 700 contemporary artists presented some of the best in handmade wares.
In addition to the overwhelming amount of talented exhibitors, the Council keeps the show fresh by adding new categories and programs. School-to-Market is one of these special sections, featuring the top work from college students. One of the schools invited to participate this year was Savannah College of Art and Design. Their exhibit was impressive, and much of the student work focused on sustainable design. Take a glimpse at some of what the SCAD students had to offer... maybe it will inspire you to think in a new direction.
