Roundup: AT Readers' Favorite Candles

Last week, our post on Yankee Candles stirred up some love but also a lot of no-likey. Thanks to your critique, dedicated AT readers, we were able to compile a roundup of your preferred candles and scents. Jump down to see if your favorite made the list!

westlm2 loves Pacifica candles and says: "They last forever and have great up-to-date fragrances." We second this nomination with our love for Pacifica's Mexican Cocoa.

kdear gave us two alternatives: "Aunt Sadie's Bayberry - sooo Christmasly perfect. And the Letter M from Anthropologie. My friends are always making fun of me for having an initial that is completely unrelated to mine, but that scent smells better."

Minyuette agrees with our Sage & Citrus preference but also recommends: "Trapp Candles: Bob's Flower Shop, Vanilla Grapefruit, and Sexy Cinnamon."

Cassis disregards Yankee completely due to the allure of: "Votivo's Island Grapefruit."

laila isn't a fan of Yankee and states: "I'd rather pay the extra and get a really nice soy candle from Bluewick." We're intrigued by their Lemonmusk Soy Candle.

my little apartment doesn't like Yankee's packaging and prefers to keep things things simple with: "Diptyque - Baies."

lizziepeony finds Yankee's scent overpowering: "I much prefer Votivo's Sage or my current- Henri Bendel, Fig."

hannaleighh works at Pier 1 Imports and is taking advantage of the employee discount. "White Thyme is probably my favorite right now and it's a soy candle!"

We couldn't help sneaking one last Yankee in here. HazeL4844 has lots of good things to say about Yankee's own new line of all-natural soy wax candles: "Their new Beanswax line of soy candles has a scent named Cran Slam that is awesome. It'll clear cooking smells out of your kitchen without being to sweet or "fake" smelling. Also, leaving the jar uncapped in a small bathroom works like an air freshener."

Thanks for the wick tips, folks!
