I'm so glad you posted this - I'm in the process of putting together the nursery for our first little guy and I didn't even think of adding a clock but I'm sure it will be helpful. Love the ones you have featured here!
I love the faux cuckoo clock... it's been on my list for awhile! Also, the wood cutout animals are great! A lot of other good ideas, too!
I wish more of the wall clocks had "regular numbers". I'm looking for a wall clock for a playroom and I'd like it to have numbers so my daughter can use it to learn to tell time... but so many seem to have Roman numerals, or symbols where the numbers would be, or nothing. The bamboo ones posted are cute but somehow ... not right for me. Any other ideas?
@Swordspoint: Have you considered a traditional schoolroom-style clock? I have one in my kitchen, and I swear it's the reason why my four-year-old is already figuring out how to tell time.
I did a quick search on eBay and found this vintage Cincinnati school clock, as well as this vintage Seth Thomas clock, which is similar to the one I have. If you're into antiques, I also found this circa-1916 Chicago schoolhouse clock. And if you're into antiques and manual winding, this antique German schoolroom clock is gorgeous.
(Er, I like to research things on eBay. A lot.)
That Yoshitomo Nara clock keeps getting posted for kids. Don't get it for kids, it's inappropriate!!! the 12:00 image has the word F**K in it.
