I kind of want to buy an antique/vintage bike now, just so I can hang it on the wall. That light blue number looks great above the dining table.
Agreed - it's pretty cool that it's not only functional but also can turn your vintage bike into a pseudo-work of art. And it looks relatively easy to use...which is always a plus.
I like these very much, but you can see the problem in the lower picture - makes it hard to hang 2 or more bikes. They could potentially fit on top of each other on an 8' tall wall but it would be tight. Also, especially in NYC, we rarely have enough empty wall space to hang a bike like that. The racks which hang bikes vertically are much more efficient for small spaces.
Also, if you have a women's bike or anything without a horizontal top tube, this thing won't work.
the dwr tools for living shop has them in stock in nyc.
looks great with a vintage bike on the wall, but not so great with a mountain bike on the wall.
one of the reasons being width of handlebars as seen above with the green bike, you have to turn the handle bars and then the wheel also stick out into your space.
For those of us with burly mountain bikes, hanging the bikes wouldn't look quite so...charming.

Indeed - the Cycloc doesn't work well for them because of the raked top rail...
...as a result I have an Orange one for sale - Any takers?
$135 bucks seems awfully pricey imo.

I scored a floor model of the Cycloc at DWR - 60% off. Hah! However, a word of warning: It is a PITA to install. We do have two bikes - the second one is a hybrid with straight handlebars, so that one wasn't hung, it lives on the floor. Obviously, as people have pointed out, the cycloc is not practical when hanging more than one bike, but given that a 2 bike vertical rack will raise the second bike, what, seven inches off the floor? We decided to go with the stylish over the practical - mostly because of that 60% discount, though.
I have one in black on my dark blue walls, it looks super nice with my blue racing bike hung up there. I rest my sweet old school comuter bike with a kickstand on the floor right below it so the space is double duty that way. I ordered mine just a few weeks ago direct from Cycloc in the UK...and it was here in SF in 3 days...even with shipping it was the cheapest AND fastest option I found.
