Design*Sponge and its readers (including us and probably most of you) are one creative bunch. The DIY projects that Grace features each week often blow us away and make us wish we had more time to devote to all things crafty. 1 - DIY Project: Maggi's Minimalist Oak Desk: While this project requires an electric drill, the construction is pretty simple and only requires some L brackets and some screws.
2 - Before & After: Lucy’s Clock Mirror + How-To: Inspired by captains' mirrors, Lucy turned an inexpensive clock into a beautiful leather trimmed mirror.
3 - DIY Project: Erica's Faux Porcelain Project: Using puff paint and matte spray paint, Erica transformed basic bottles and cans into a mid-century modern inspired collection.
4 - DIY Project: Recycled Cardboard Kitty Pad: Kate made this customizable modern kitty pad using cardboard boxes, masking tape and some decorative paper.
5 - DIY Project: Retro Canisters: Heather spray painted and hand lettered some old metal canisters to make these retro modern delights that would brighten up and kitchen.

1 - Made with Love: Vintage Crate Shelves: Amy Merrick's "why didn't I think of that project" took vintage crates and upcycled them into lovely rustic shelves.
2 - Reprodepot Book DIY: Decorative Light Switch Cover: This quick and easy decoupage project can use any patterned paper to provide an accent to your living space.
3 - DIY Video: Grace's Upholstered Otomi Headboard: No list of Design*Sponge DIY's would be complete without Grace's infamous upholstered headboard.
4 - DIY Wednesdays: Tea Shelf: With a thin shelf, some small jars and some hooks, Derek and Lauren turned a basic shelf into an organized display for all of your tea goodies.
5 - DIY Project: Susan's Tiger Wallpaper: Using printed paper, spray starch, scissors and a ton of patience, Susan made this graphically stunning removable wall treatment.
