In the past few months we've found ourselves in a search for a new sofa andgravitating towards two details: gray as a versatile neutral, and tufted detailing. We love the flexibility of gray, and a bit of tufting can add an elegant flair to a modern sofa design. Here are some of our favorites.

Nomade Express Slee...
I love my grey tufted sofa.... it is Soho from Z Gallerie.... I think it is such a sophisticated look.
i have an off-white tuft sofa from macys. it cost a little over $700, which is an amazing deal for the price. i love it. my first large furniture purchase in my life.
does anyone have the couch from urban outfitters? wondering about the quality...
Thank you for reading my mind!!!! I've been looking for a gray/sand tufted sofa.
I also just moved into my new loft and was looking for the perfect modern sofa within my price range. I thought I was set on the Urban Outfitters one until I searched for a store that had it so I could see it in person. The floor models were all they had to sell and they were in worse condition than most craigslists ads I've seen. I wasn't sure if I was going to have my sofa against the wall or not and I was unimpressed with the back view of the UO sofa... It's a great price but I probably only buy it for a guest room since it does fold down to a bed. I went with the pear colored tufted sofa from Macy's which I think vivlai is also referring to... just over 700 and I'm absolutely in love with it. Looks great and it's comfortable.
I sighed when I saw the picture of the Walcot... of course it's the most costly on the list. So beautiful...
Totally in love with this grey (maybe more silver?) tufted Moma sofa from Urban Barn. I drive by it in the store window every day and drool.

@ acsmi24 regarding URBANOUTFITTERS COUCH
I didn't buy it, but a friend of mine did. I went by to help her set it up (it comes in pieces). It's very annoying to set it up and the materials are poor quality (frayed edges, exposed stitching, rough material and poor wood). It's around $500 so I didn't expect it to be top notch, but the biggest problem was it's hard as a rock. It was so uncomfortable that she returned it. On the plus, it looked great.
Hope that helps.
My friend just bought this one for about 600.00 which I could not believe and its very nice quality and sits firm, they have a grey fabric.

I really like this one, from Urban Mode here in Toronto, and the name is great too "the one night stand sofabed"

Nice options. I've had my mind set on the Jane Sofa from Gus Modern. It comes in three different shades of gray.

Does anyone have any experience with the Gus Modern sofas? I would be grateful for any input. Thanks.
The Macys sofa that several have mentioned is the Corona.

We have this couch. It's cheap, comfortable, and cute!
I just got a light grey velvet tufted sofa on craigslist for $50. Glad I'm not the only one who loves these.
You guys have got to check out bobbyberkhome.com.
I got the Carter Sectional because it is minimal and sexy:

The Tribeca sofa is also great, a little more comfortable with larger proportions. It comes in a zillion colors.

So excited to see this post! I got the Avec sofa from CB2 about 2 months ago and I love it! I've always loved tufting and I love the neutral grey - I'd been looking for a sofa for a long time, but knew I wanted the Avec as soon as I saw it. It's what has inspired me to start putting some serious work into making my apartment more of a home. (Only took a year of living here!)
I love these sofas, great post! Alas, I checked out the Night/Day Sofa from Urban Outfitters online and in store about a year ago and was disenchanted with quality. There's this monstrous bar along the backside that makes it unattractive unless it's against a wall, and the online user reviews are *very* bad. I still think about getting it though. It's really cute.
I saw the Macy's Chloe sofa 2 weekends ago and it was very comfortable. It comes in a variety of fabrics and colors but they only display a few online. We will probably purchase it once we get a closing date on our house. It is currently $899 but when it's on sale, it's $699.

I really like the Paramount sofa, but live on the east coast. Does anyone have any experience with this company or this sofa? I am considering buying it without sitting on it, as my search for my perfect gray sofa has been a long one. Thanks very much.
