Kelly green usually isn't our first choice when decorating, especially not in large doses. While we generally prefer greens leaning towards aqua or jade, the constant barrage of green and red this time of year made us think we should give this verdant hue a chance. Here's a roundup of fresh and bright rooms using green as a cornerstone of the design.

#3 and #7 are a bit much for me, but I think all the other ones are great! I've loved #1 for a while now. Another favorite in my "Green" file is Sharon Montrose's kitchen, featured on AT a while back:

#7 kitchen is overkill. The cabinets are not done well, especially the open shelving. #1 is beautifully done!
The last picture is my favorite.
My sister just painted one wall of her living room a similar color. At first, I wasn't sure what to think, but now I love it. It's very fresh!
I have plain, old, white appliances in my laundry room. Although at first I lusted after the trendy colors new machines come in, I learned to love the white when it pops against my kelly green walls! Combined with the white cabinets and some fun art, it makes laundry a whole lot more enjoyable.
I really want that convex mirror from image #1
if anyone knows where to find it let me know!
Love, love, love the desk in picture 8. This would end my very, very, very long quest to find the perfect desk and dump the prefab cheap-o computer desk the previous tenants left me. Anyone know where I can find it or something similar?
Loving these greens -
I have a similar shade in my den - when I first painted I thought it was too much, but with everything in there it looks just right.
I love Molly Luetkemeyer 's green accent wall in her Laurel Canyon transformation.

I personally really dislike this color, maybe because of traumatic childhood associations with our school colors Kelly Green and Gold. Hideous. The only room that I think that green really works in is the first photo of the bathroom. I think maybe the fact that that color would be flattering on only a smattering of the population is what makes it so unappealing. Maybe a porcelain skinned redhead could live comfortably in those spaces...
That kelly green bathroom is over-the-top but so refreshing. I love every incarnation of green except, perhaps, lime.
I once had a dark green wicker chair next to a red stained wooden sculpture. It took quite a while to work out why I didn't like this arrangement. It was due to this combination of red and green. This definitely belongs to Christmas - or into the garden.
I think, in a room all greens benefit from being embedded in a lot of white. That's what makes it looking fresh. Therefore - pics #1 and #10 are my favourites.
Anyone know anything about the chairs in pic 5?
nevermind... found it. lol.
This color combination makes my heart ache because I love it so much.
This post made me realize that when I look at green rooms, and all I can see are giant chroma key walls.
There was also a post on AT a few days ago about reupholstering items (the chair was done with a large scale houndstooth) and the pic had an amazing green wall.
i like #s 1, 4, and 10 :D
