We all need that small container to catch our odds and ends or keep our veggies in, don't we? Sure there are all types of containers out there, but none so dutifully straddle the line between modern industrial and country cottage as the wire basket. Able to lean toward masculine or feminine and with the ability to hold just about anything (well, save for liquids or super small items) wire baskets are a great thing to have around any time of the year (though we bet they'd be extra handy during the holidays). We've rounded up a few that we've found to be of superior looks, quality and price...
- Woven Wire Nesting Trays, set of 2 from Wisteria for $34
- Two-Tier Fruit Basket from Crate and Barrel for $19.95
- 12"W Steel Wire Basket from Global Industrial for $36
- Surefire Wire Baskets, Set of 3 from Napa Style for $48
- Chrome Storage Basket from CB2 for $29.95
- 1950s Vintage Wire Basket from Etsy user ravenwren for $48

I dislike wire baskets. I use bowls and plates to hold onions, garlic, squash, etc
I want the baskets in the first picture.
I like the look. Most of these would look nice filled with ornaments for holiday decoration.
But --- I don't own any because they create a mess. I can just imagine all the bits of onion skin on the carpet underneath the basket in the first photo.
