For those who are decorating for the holidays this year, stockings seem to be in short supply. Or at least ones that don't have a Nascar logo or Mickey Mouse on them. Here's a few we came across, click through the jump for more info.

as mundane as it sounds, i have been having a hard time finding cute stockings for my family.
i just saw these stuffed felt letters featured on an ohdeedoh post for $1 each, so i'm thinking i'm going get some of those to personalize some simple felt stockings

I liked the craft on the Martha Stewart website where you take an old cabled sweater (thrifted, perhaps) and cut and sew it into a stocking shape. It really couldn't be easier, and there are tons of similar ideas--one of which is cutting an old plaid scarf (with a provided template) into the shape, and also sewing that up. I think they're great beginner sewing projects, and have the added benefit of being handmade.
On a side note, I think that stocking stuffers typically beat anything under the tree.
This year, why not hang up real socks from each person's sock drawer?
I bought those felted ones from Rikrak on Etsy!
I bought mine in gray and white, so they'll fit into my decor.
My first ever christmas decoration!
..as a grown up. In my own home, that is.
The grey ones were quite pretty Lilli K! They will be a great addition to your home!
Unica has some really great ones on their website.
