- Danielle Thompson was inspired by neon colors in her design of holiday wrapping and decor. This little vignette embraces bright touches through and through!
- Etsy seller SketchInk sells these adorable geometric holiday ornaments adorned in bright neon colors. They'll liven up any tree!
- Inspired by the Holiday 2007 issue of Blueprint magazine, Yvonne over at modern.girl put up her own pink tree. Love the juxtaposition with the artwork!
- Jonathan Adler's Utopia Man/Woman Menorah looks stunning with a pop of color in the candle. The simple addition of electric blue adds so much to this modern Hanukkah decoration!
- Anthology's just-released Holiday edition has a gorgeous and inspirational page all about infusing neon colors into holiday decor with simple and easy to fine items like gaffer's tape and gouache paint.
- Electric teal anyone!? I've always been tempted to get a white tree, but never pulled the trigger. InspirationForHome makes me want to a bit more...
- Israeli studio Armadillo created these Hanukkah menorah and candlesticks using the same techniques that are used in making laboratory vessels. They're filled with water and oil to create variation in the color. Via DesignDiffusion.
- Coastal Living embraces neon colors in this setting with three skinny trees in different hues! They're especially vibrant on the white backdrop!
- HeartfeltYarnWreaths offer so many options, but this bright turquoise and red is our favorite bright decor item! Modernize the traditional palette with brights!
- Decorate a traditional tree, but with neon ornaments and accents for a lesser departure from the norm, like this one found on Alkemie. The look is still high-impact, but using a traditionally green tree!
When decorating for the holidays, why not break through the traditional color scheme and opt for something a little more vibrant!? Adding a bit of neon color to your decor can really liven things up in a very modern way!

Call me a traditionalist, but can't you hold the Xmas posts until AFTER Thanksgiving? I mean, let me enjoy my turkey!
Although Arkay has a point, I really like some of those colors.
What the two previous posters said!
Arkay, Thanksgiving is a US/Canadian holiday.... this blog is read by people from all corners of the globe.
I, for one, am enjoying early christmas posts, as I am doing a DIY christmas this year, and that takes time and planning.
The turquoise wreath is beautiful, and I love those cube ornaments!
Bah Humbug! Some of us aren't even Christian (or Druids)!
That being said, the first reminds me a little of the color scheme of the San Fran Ballet's Nutcracker a few years ago.
love the colors too! would love a tute on how to make the wreath from the first picture!
Thanks for featuring our holiday home in the first photo! KatieG1234, our home was actually featured in the latest issue of Christmas Ideas Magazine from Better Homes & Gardens. There's a tutorial on how to make that wreath in that issue, if you wanted to look out for it. Thanks!
This is only good if you want to decorate like this year after year. Buying new c**p to decorate with each year is terrible environmentally and ethically speaking. For me, Christmas decoration is about tradition, not trends. (And as you might guess, I hate these neon decorations. Ugh.)
Actually, Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. It's just a US holiday this weekend.
I like the neon. Good will to all men (and women) x
We are on the Christmas decorating countdown and are planning a "rainbow" Christmas and this post suits us down to the t!I love the wreath from the main pic. Merry Christmas to all, however you choose to celebrate/decorate at this time of year!
This post makes me feel less grinchy about decorating this year. I'm tired of the traditional colors and I didn't even know it until I looked at these photos. thanx.
I've already put up my tree as it helps me get into the Christmas spirit early (and hopefully reminds me to get my pressie shopping done before the last minute).
No thanksgiving here so it's nice to get into the fun (decorating) spirit early =)
I've taken the approach to slowly build up the decorations on the tree. Currently my tree has black and silver ornaments only. Next week I am adding lights. The week after, some red ornaments, etc etc, building up the tree until Christmas day when it will look its best and most festive!
Thank you Andrea, actually I already knew that.
Neon is AWESOME for Christmas! :)
I've had a white christmas tree with multi-color lights for years. And every year, people always compliment me on how gorgeous my tree is. Don't be afraid of color people!
Well I don't decorate for holidays or even own a christmas decoration but I absolutely love those pink trees! I also appreciate the nontraditionally wrapped packages... I always like to use fun prints and recycled papers and ties during the holidays :)
I really like the menorah from Studio Armadillo. Does anyone know if it is it available for purchase in the US?
