When we hit the stores this past weekend, we found ourselves drawn to the variety of ways ornaments were on display (aside from the traditional Christmas tree). We saw several ornament trees/display stands to love- options ranging from modern to traditional, from affordable to luxurious, from petite to life-sized. Whether you are looking for a replacement for your full-sized tree or just a way to display a few special ornaments, you can find the perfect ornament tree for your needs right here.
- Ornament Centerpiece from Crate and Barrel: $50 (without ornaments)
- Gold Tree Stand from Walmart: $28 (without ornaments)
- Silver Wire Ornament Tree Display from Amazon: $40
- Holiday Ornament Tree from Exposures: $190
- Wrought Iron Christmas Tree from Overstock: $130
- Ornament Tree from Neiman Marcus: $500
- Ornament Tree from Pier 1: $30
All prices are for stands alone without any ornaments included.

These would be great for older parents who can't or don't want to put up a big tree. Very pretty!
What a great idea for those that don't have the space for a big tree! Love it!
I was looking everywhere for one of these last Christmas!
I just put out the Crate and Barrel ornament hanger with CB2 modern ornaments this weekend!http://www.flickr.com/photos/bruintoo/4149179842/in/set-72157622785694861/
I like the idea, but none of these tickle my fancy - they all look like they came from Hallmark. The salvaged wood tree featured a few posts back is a good starting point - it got me thinking about how easy it would be to design and build my own version (sans chippy paint).
I saw one almost identical to the C&B stand at the Dollar Tree this evening - certainly closer to a bargain...
I actually love the one which is $500.
We just set up our possibilitree, which is great for displaying ornaments. http://possibilitree.com
I like real branches (natural or painted white) with white mini lights and ornaments. It can be large or small, the container simple or elaborate and it doesn't cost anything but time to find the branches.
@ leadingedge Thanks for the possiblitree link! I ordered the 3 ft cherry tree.
Say what you will about Smith & Hawken's overpriced garden offerings; they did sell a lovely, 2-foot iron tree that looked like bare natural branches. We've put it up for several years on our entry table, decorated with small bird and cone ornaments. There may be some on eBay.
Good luck Bruintoo! We love our tree. I would love to see how you decorate yours. We have 400 ornaments so we had to be very selective on who made it on the tree.
