Another somewhat controversial furniture material, there’s just something wonderful about the combination of unfinished plywood and the bright, funky aesthetics of Austin. We love seeing all the creative ways plywood is used in home décor (especially ways that can be reproduced ourselves!) but we know not everyone feels the same way. Since we’re not ready to give up on this simple material, we’ve rounded up for your consideration some recent attempts at making stylish furniture with plywood…

We love each designers unique take on using plywood, and we especially love that some have plans for these designs available today! Let us know what you think about plywood for a furniture building material! And tell us about your favorite furniture made with plywood!

I wonder who hates plywood - I live the texture of the end-grains, particularly of Baltic Birch plywood.
if i want furniture out of plywood...why pay for it...you can DIY for way less money. I used to work for a lumber company. Its cheap. Not the best quality but if you don't care....go for it.
I've got unfinished plywood and cinder blocks holding up my TV. I had a great stand but I actually love the look of the "dorm chic" much much better. Something about the dark hardwood floors, the industrial blocks with a great texture, and the clean look of fresh plywood....
It works.
I dont remember seeing this anywhere- Do we have an official Austin writer or is it temporary since its still listed as LA?
