I really wanted to title this post "An Ode to the Pouf" due to the extreme love I have towards this versatile home accessory. Please excuse the over-the-top adoration as I list the ways this functional piece can add value to any home.
In this roundup the pouf can be spotted being used as extra seating for house guests or as a foot stool for tired feet. They can be used to bring a pop of color to any room, without replacing the main furniture items, or as an impromptu coffee or side table. In image 5 the vintage pouf, placed in just the right spot, creates an adorable vignette and can even be, as the main image shows, an upscale perch for man's best friend.

Love the pouf but I'd rather have the Pug!
I don't understand myself for hating those poufs. O_o
I just want the pug on the first pouf. I'm not a huge pouf fan because I don't think they're practical. They may look cute but I don't find them comfortable (unless you're a kid and I don't have kids). I like the look of the wicker ones most.
For two years I've been searching AT for a photo of a flower petal designed pouf. Nothing shows up in the archive search. Does anyone remember that one? I think I like poufs if they're stuffed hard enough to actually sit on...they're kinda fun.
I love poufs, though admittedly, I don't own one. I'm thinking about following some tutorials I've seem here and there to make my own.
What is it about them that you've found uncomfortable?
I had my own "ode to the pouf (and the delish macron)":

Hahaha, love the pug! There is nothing better than a posing pet, especially pugs or pug mixes, when showing off home decor. We try to include our girl, Lulu (Shar-Pei/Pug mix), in almost every project we photograph.

Does anyone know where I could find DIY instructions for a pouf?
I have vintage poufs, they're common in some of the countries where my family lived for decades, but with all this coverage of poufs I'm officially... 'pouf'd out'... think I'll store mine for awhile so they seem new again.
I have 3, and they have improved my life (or at least my house's comfort level.) They are the perfect height for my armchairs, which are somehow awkwardly proportioned (or maybe I am!) and not comfortable to sit in for long periods. But now that I can stretch my legs out on the poufs, they are perfect -- more like lounges. Also, I love the colors I got: candy pink, apple green and rich orange. Mine are the classic moroccan ones, and if they exist, I would love to have a waterproof one in the same style for my garden.

It's driving me nuts but I saw another posting a month ago which made me think "!!!! perfect christmas gifts!" I'll have to check my pc at home for the history.
Three, and possibly four of these images appear to contain the exact same style of pouf in different colors. What about knit poufs?
Well, thanks for this. Now I've got one more item to add to my growing list of things I must have for my home. I can't afford to keep coming here.
