Roundup: Show Stopping Staircases

When my husband becomes a world renowned artist, we will design and build a custom home for ourselves. Oh, our silly hypothetical lives. Even though this will never happen, I like to play masochist and bookmark fantastic ideas for this dream home. Here's a roundup of staircases that would be worthy of gracing my imaginary future home.

Obviously, my aesthetic is decidedly modern. If you care to indulge my delusions (or your own perhaps), below are more details on staircases that you may want to add to your inspiration board as well.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

1 - Spiral staircase in The Ross Street House by Robert Mills Architects via Contemporist.

2 - A crisply outlined staircase in The King Residence by John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects via Contemporist.

3 - Open and airy staircase from The Park BOX by PATH Architecture via Contemporist.

4 - A beautifully wood topped staircase in the Verdon Street House by Whiting Architects via the style files.

5 - A seemingly floating staircase from a Santa Monica residence designed by John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects.
