Sure, if you're really tech savvy you no longer have a landline. Instead you use either your mobile or Skype to chat voice-to-voice. But some of us still talk old school style, and even further, some of us talk on corded, rather than, cordless phones.
I have both, since I need a corded phone to plug in my tape recorder for interviews. Too bad my current corded phone, a vintage genie, is biting the dust. I started searching online for a replacement only to find some of the most ridiculous phones (and some rad phones). We have a Bart Simpson phone... in my 14 yo 's room. We roll retro 'round here. (Can't go tech savvy... no cell phone service... my iphone gently weeps).
