Vertical Gardens

Roundup

In an urban environment, it's hard to find the space to plant a garden — and living in a city makes you yearn for greenery. Creating a vertical garden is the perfect way to satisfy your green thumb while living in a small space. These horticultural walls will both freshen the air and enchant your guests. Just be sure you're up to the upkeep.

Vertical gardens can be classically minimal or overgrown and wild depending on how you want the greenery to compliment your space. Large wall planter can be mounted to your existing walls or you can hang a fabric system like a Wally Woolly Pocket, which are made from 100% recycled plastic water bottles. Also, these gardens can be erected to block unpleasant views from windows or outside areas.

When you decide what type of vertical garden you want to install in your home, think about the amount of time you're willing to spend to keep those plants healthy. You'll need to make sure your garden gets the right amount of water and light. A certain amount of re-potting might be required to prevent insects and mold.
