My ideas for this nursery have been in the back of my mind ever since I got married, almost 10 years ago. I collected vintage games and toys from family and friends and put them together with a few newer and modern elements to create a fun, colorful vintage nursery.
All of the card games and board games came from my family, with the Chinese Checker's board being my favorite because it belonged to my grandpa, whose house we're actually living in right now. The house is 103 years old and I'm so happy to be raising my two children in the house my mother grew up in. A few of the toys are from my husband's childhood years, as well as the cute little striped shirt hanging by the closet.
The blue 'dresser' is actually a really old radio from my dad's father that I repainted. I made the lamp out of the letter blocks, and the Curious George that sits by it was one of my older siblings first, then he got passed on down 7 or 8 kids until he was given to me. I could go on and tell the background on almost everything in the room. It all has a story behind it.
