Name: Rowan
Location: Sydney, Australia
When my daughter Peta surprised me with the news of her pregnancy I instantly started thinking about styling the nursery at my house, a two storey Italianate house in the inner city suburb of Ashfield. Soon we knew we were having a boy, that's when I got started.
The first wall art I bought for Rowan (we had already named him) was a 2D map artwork (Australian designer). It was perfect since my inspiration for the room was always going to be about Rowan's place in the world. How we would teach him that the world is made up of many cultures and people and each person is unique. Rowan is a lucky boy to be born in such a diverse country and with education and patience we can make the world a wonderful place.
The world map wall paper is from 'The wall sticker company' The globe mobil is from ABC Kitchen in NYC. A Vintage map of Australia is from my old school classroom.

What a beautiful room - filled with warmth and love!
The maps are wonderful! They really set the whole room : )
very nice! You cannot go wrong with maps.
I love the room--so bright and cheerful, and the vignette with the little desk is probably my favorite--but I also had to comment just to say how much I love your grandson's name. Rowan is such a handsome name for a little boy or young man! Congrats!
Love this! This almost makes me want to have another baby. Works for any child space, though. :)
My mom found a really big hard-board covered map book, I hope to incorporate it into a kids' space.
