"Where Spirit, Art and Energy Unite": All of Rozzet's mats are made from organic materials and designed with pattern and color in mind (unlike the standard yoga mat). Fabrics like wool, cotton, aloe, silk and hemp are infused with an array of plant-based colors, insuring that all the materials used are natural. Rozzet customers also have a variety of weaves to choose from, like the chobi weave and their own double warp, double weft "rozzet" weave.

Not that AT is especially guilty of complaining about knock-offs or very derivative works... cough (blue ant studio) cough...but the pictured mat looks really derivative of Marimekko's Kaivo and Keisarinkruunu patterns.
I sort of wonder why Target's derivations may draw the ire of some, while this would not. To a certain extent, I feel like the Target instance is better because it is making costly design accessible to everyone, but Rozzet is taking something that is accessible to the wealthiest and keeping it within the same wealthy class.
Sorry, didn't mean to threadjack.
don't know that's a true threadjack, though probably might be more on target if the thread were about new age kitsch or some such
the product and design are overpriced and derivative. Whatever happened to good old-fashioned yoga/exercise mats?
I was just looking at some yoga rugs the other day as possible runner possibilities. Very affordable, here:
http://www.vickerey.com/yoga-rugs.html
These are simple striped patterns, but I'm sure the brands make other patterns.
I'm sure that mat will be very popular at my neighborhood yoga studio...the one with the Yoga Cafe and the Yoga Jewelry Boutique and the Yoga Clothing Shop...because yoga is all about buying stuff.
Zing! Good one blackbird!! :)
These rugs are awesome! Iâm not really sure what the first two guyâs are talking about.
Fact of the matter is all their products are hand made. They no chrome dyes that are caustic to the environment and your average rubber mats contain phthalates that are used to soften PVCs and are linked to an increased incidence of testicular and breast cancer. I believe in the saying you get what you pay for. And I donât want to pay with my ballsâ¦Good job Rozzet!
Great company! actually talked to some one and they have their act together. I think what some of you people donât get is that this company is environmentally couscous. I really canât stand the comments that have no basis. I think some of you should do your homework before you decide to become some esoteric critic. Obviously there are people that have checked it out and see a stunning program that offers something for everyone at different price points. My husband and I have been using a couple of Tibetan rugs to do our yoga for years but theyâre really not the right size. Itâs about time that some saw this need and put it together. And Iâm with Martin I like my husbands balls!
Beautiful website this took some thought, Not so sure on the pricing. They need to have a way to buy online. The meditation rugs are a great idea.Very good designs
I take offence to the stupid comment about yoga is all about buying stuff. I own a yoga studio and my clients would love to practice on these mats and buy them as well. Sorry this is a great idea. So sorry blackbird your road kill now
Zing! how queer is that
if don't have anything good to say and it really doesn't really matter to you any way. don't say it at all.
I just came back from a retreat in New Mexico. We were using traditional Indian flat weave rugs and they were awesome. I think some people who do a variety of different types of yoga would benefit. I teach yoga and would be very interested to see their hot bamboo products. Someone said it before, they have put together a very well thought out program. I kind of think that the first two comments come from people who don't do yoga, I don't see to many yoga buffs at Target disscussing Merimikko. I do agree you can't get pricing of there site. Either they do that purposely to get your email address or they could be expensive. Even so the ones in New Mexico that we used were not cheap.
wow. the emperor's new yoga mat has arrived.
OMG! I wonder when somebody was gonna do this. it's too bad somebody like crate and barrel will knock I'm off. The only thing that will make a difference is if there quality is high-end.
Judging by the website all of their stuff is hand made and I like the fact that there Green. It's good idea and I hate those rubber mats! It's true recycled processed rubber is bad for the earth. lottalove gives rozzet an 8
Wow there site is tight. where is the shopping cart. No I can't see anyone trying to compete with these guys. Crate & Barrel probably own it. Speaking of Crate & Barrel they sell that Marimekko print or use to and I don't see the resemblance at all
It's more like Angela Adams if she were actually talented.
There stuff if probably off the chart money. Not so great in a bad economy. But if it's green and it helps your practice how often do you but a yoga rug may as well get a good one.
they have a great product offering but no pricing
I think everyone is tired of the purple rubber mat.
those ribber mats scare, me every time my girls friend leaves it in the car on a hot day, I think I would rather she left her sweaty underware in my coffee cup instead. She does hot yoga and that thing just stinks! So I like the washable bamboo thing.
They have great adds in Dwell magazine.this is the first time I have seen the site.Judging by their ads I think there marketing is superlative. Their setting them selfs apart from the trash that you see in those yoga mags, where every thing is pretty lame. I teach yoga and have purchased different things that I have seen on the internet and in mags most of which I got stuck with or tried to return. I get the feeling that I wouldn't be sending anything back from these people. Their rugs are gorgeous
This is the first time I have ever wanted to post a comment.
This is something that wish I would have thought of. Come on people do you think Gandhi used a purple rubber mat. My partner and I do a couples yoga and what a difference this is going to make for us. I don't care how much it costs. I just want one.
I can't believe it, it's about time and green too....
OK Rozzet whats it going to set me back or are you going to keep it a secret?
Dame straight! it's nice not to have to buy any of your practice gear at the book store or whole foods. Give us some dignity for gods sake. and What is it with people anyway and the two lesbos making a cracks about yoga and buying stuff. like I really believe you girls do yoga. You both probably weigh about 250 pounds a piece. So go pick on somebody your own size you'll find them at the international house of pancakes. Thank you Martin people should know about the phthalates in the making of the purple death mat. Personally I want to keep my breasts
I've held back on commenting on other things, and have heard some pretty retarded comments but some of these people with their opinions should really get a life and stop living with their parents. Wow Greige you must have gotten out your mid century modern textile book from borders wow we are so impressed with all of your crock of bull about the derivatives of design and target. I want to party with you mister. Yes Greige there yoga rugs for people that have real jobs that enjoy the practice and who can afford them. Boy you must have a incredible home with all of your fine furnishing from walmart oops! so sorry target how could I mistake the two. Oh Greige did you know you can now get your groceries a target too! Go get a real education fool and stop pretending to have one.
These posts are hysterical. Rozettes (that's the name I gave all you silly lil nincompoops) are the new Melaluca moonies.
Nincompoops? thats so Gilligan's Island. Hey maybe that's who is making the rozzet yoga rugs, maybe the professor came up with a way to use all of those coconuts and palm leaves.
I can just see the Skipper and Maryann stretching out.
You gotta admit there cool rugs, but not my cup of tea.
I do agree with the rubber mats having a weird smell
My sixteen year old daughter is very much into yoga.
and that odor is unmistakable for anything else. I'm worried now that she could be getting some venereal disease off the stupid thing. I just want to burn it now, but that wouldn't be good for mother earth. She dragged me to there website, a little over the top for a yoga rug I think. But if thats what your into more power to you. They have some nice things but there
probably pricy as hell, they don't tell you the price. ???
I have been teaching and practicing yoga for over twenty years
and have never used any of those so called recycled rubber mats. I have seen the community of people that practice change over the years, and I welcome a natural alternative for them to try. The goal is to take in the benefits of a good yoga practice.
If this is something that will encourage someone, and to make the experience of yoga better for them why wouldn't they be interested. There beautiful rugs, what is the big deal?
I'm glad to see that the yoga loonies have something to be excited about for a change. Have you ever taken a good look at what is for sale in one of those yoga magazines? Barf! How many yoga bags does the world need anyway.
I feel sorry for this Greige guy he should be entitled to his opinion even if his head is up his butt. I never hear such a load pretentiousness. Did Greige really have something to say or was he just trying to impress his video game boy buddies that are all in junior collage for web design. I don't do yoga never will do yoga but I like the rugs. Greige buddy! Threadjack? you sound like text messaging moron. Good call hereandnow I would just love to see Greige's Target pleasure palace, which is probably down stairs in his parents basement.
Does anyone know where you can buy rozzet? They don't have
have a shopping cart on there website, which probably means they sell to retailers. Any clues? Thanks
You can get pricing if you email them for a catalog, hello! it's on the site. I really don't think there that expensive for what they are. You can but a cheap mat anywhere but that's what it is, a cheap mat. And what do you do with it once it's worn out? I think rozzet is on to something. Yoga, organic, natural fibers, eco friendly and hand made. Target? No I don't think so. These people advertise in magazines like Metropolis and Dwell. if you take a good look at their product line it's well executed. The copy and website are clean and simple and there is no flash. It is what it is, good design.
I have been shopping on and off now for a practice rug for a while. I usually wind up in some oriental store looking at things that look great but just are not the right size for what I want and need. I do think that rozzet has a good offering and selection, maybe a little to modern for some, but from my search for something a little better to practice on they seem to be a good alternative. They should list there dealers and pricing
on their website. That's what frustrated me most about my experience. Overall this is a nice program and colored very well.
I believe you can buy Rozzet at Lululemon. There not expensive at all. I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's just a nice yoga rug. Take it or leave it
Matthais Rozzet is one of the nicest people that I have ever done business with. I recently opened up my own yoga studio and wanted more information on their products. He sent me pricing and samples before I decided to purchase. Nice to see that owner of the company believes in what he sells.Once you see the quality of their mats there is no turning back. FYI they do not sell to Lululemon. You have to buy direct from them. If you teach or own a studio, they do give you a nice discount. It's a nice product and I glad I can offer it to my students.
Why did this topic cause a outbreak of misspelling, I wonder? Some of these posts are incomprehensible. Maybe it's the PVC.
This issue about PVC mats is absolutely true. I don't know if it's linked to a learning curve or dyslexia, but the recycled rubber thing is bad news. Just because something has that recycled logo on it doesn't mean it's necessarily good for the earth.
I think people have gotten the buzz about rozzet. OK nice rugs.
enough already. Go do some yoga.
Who knew yoga mats could stir up so many emotions! :) I found all I needed and could afford at www.mattingexperts.com. Simple, non-designer color choices. With my eyes closed in the lotus pose focusing on my breathing I didn't care if the mat was gorgeous!
Saboabo!Yes I'm sure thats what your dates say when there in bed with you with their eyes closed. I didn't know you could you could experience such a feeling of bliss on a office mat for your cubical desk. Good luck with that! This company sells office products and mats for industrial kitchens and mats that they use in grocery stores...So if your into an industrial yoga practice that is the site for you. They also sell the janitorial equipment too! for your yoga clean up!
Please everyone got to the site just mentioned and have a good laugh I'm sure it will be on your list of favorites.
