022409_tf_rubikssaltpepper.jpgHere we have another entry in the realm of geek-inspired home accessories. Following in the footsteps of the "actually-it's-kind-of-cute" Rubik's Cube Subwoofer, these salt and pepper mills are bound to cover some dinner guests in spices as they try to solve the puzzle, wondering why only one square turns...

022409_tf_rubikssaltpepper2.jpgLicensed by Rubik's, these salt and pepper mills bring about a bit of nostalgia for the 80's toy gizmo.

They're exactly the same size as the real thing, but they're not "playable." 'Cause, you know, they've got to make room for the coarse salt and peppercorn grinders inside. The top layer, fashioned with white squares on the salt and red on the pepper, is the only one that moves and controls the grinding action.

At $17.50 each, they're a little more than our house spends on our shakers, but since they're not available until April, you've got a hot minute to save up. Pre-order them here at Gift Monger.
