Name: Ruby Jean (2)
Location: Broomfield, Colorado
I created Ruby's room a little over two years ago by re-purposing items I had collected over the years and combining them with a few garage sale finds. My vision was to create an eclectic and cheerful space using white as a base on most major pieces in the room (walls, flooring, crib) but to accent with bright pops of color throughout using vintage pieces.
The starting point for the color began with some vintage tablecloths I had collected over the years; they were used to make letters for her name, cover the changing pad, and even became the crib skirt. Our first purchase for the room was an old Craigslist dresser that I painted and distressed to become the changing table. From there I made the bird mobile, painted some trees on the wall, and purchased the rug (from Urban Outfitters) that really pulled the whole room together.
A majority of the pieces are garage sale finds: the piano, chandelier, hanging bookshelf, and various artwork. This room has been so fun to create and will surely continue to evolve as Ruby grows!
Lovely - thanks Angie! Readers, think Angie has great style? She does - check out her son Gabe's room, too.

WOW
Yup, wow...Everything in this room I love. May be my favorite kids room.
Where can I find more pictures or instructions on how to make that mobile??
Wow indeed!!!
gorgeous, sweet and full of personality. soooooooooooooooo much nicer than a more expensive room of matching PB kids items. Well done.
very cute... as a side note my Sister who's 9 is called Ruby Jean =0)
Everything is absolutely beautiful as is the name Ruby! That little pink piano is so sweet.
The changing table doesn't look very safe to me with the glass window leaning against the wall, the flags and letters and lamp that would be very easy to reach up and grab . . . I'm guessing either Ruby is the most well-behaved child in the world or the diper changes take place somewhere other than the changing table!
Either way, GORGEOUS space!
Darling room!! Absolutely charming!
adorable! I love the light use of pink with a focus on red and blue. Great color combos.
So lovely!!
Ruby Jean AND this room are just as sweet as can be! Be careful on that changing table little girl ;)
Just beautiful, Ang...
So sweet! Nice job mama, great style and very age appropriate.
Please tell all the worry worts you removed the glass and tested for lead paint on that window pane behind the changing table:)
SO adorable! But all I can think when I see that old window by the changing table is "LEAD PAINT!" We collect a lot of vintage pieces and furniture, including old windows like that, and my daughter had elevated lead levels in her blood at her one year check up. I don't think people realize how serious of an issue it is.
Love this room... I want to live there!
I would like to see the whole house tour because I'm sure it's just as awesome. Love love love the contemporary looking wall painting w/ antiques
Way to go Angie! You've always had such great style!
This room is sweet as can be!
Be still my heart! This is so beautiful! What a great eye you have!!!
Could this nursery be any more perfect??
(Answer: No. No, it couldn't.)
