This one comes from Xbox 360 Fanboy: We've heard about the price cuts that are supposed to be coming out around the holidays concerning the Xbox 360. Specifically, that Microsoft is going to be releasing a $199 "Xbox Arcade," a gaming system with no hard drive. Apparently, that set is supposed to battle head-to-head with the Wii in the market this season, so rumors are rampant that Microsoft will be trying to gain some ground with a major change...
According to the source, the Arcade console will come packaged with a motion controller and a few motion controlled mini games developed by Rare. Also according to the source at Fanboy, the motion controller will work with all 360 consoles and will even be sold separately, bundled with even more mini motion games.
Virtual Reality sheds a little more light on the rumor, revealing that the new controller has a big bulb shape at the top (see photo). They also mention that Rare is having a hard time meeting deadlines and that it's unlikely that this controller launch by the end of the year.
What do you think? Trufax? Bogus? Should we be holding our breath? (Because we really, really want to.) The only other thing I'd want for my Xbox-only home would be to have an Xbox-fit. Can you get on that, Gates?
