Maybe you have a table that's too great to hide under a big cloth, or maybe you just love the look of layered linens. Either way, a table runner can be a great way to bring together a holiday tablescape, so check out these 10 options for runners — from woodsy to formal and everything in between:
Runners can be found in an array of fabrics like damask, burlap or linen, and even less traditional options like paper or twigs, and they work equally well layered over a tablecloth or sitting solo under the centerpiece.
If you have the time and inclination, you can tackle one of the DIY projects. If your hands are full with other holiday duties, save yourself some work and opt for something ready made.

Sprout Side Table
Check out the Crate and Barrel outlet site, too. Lots of table linens for sale right now. I bought a Marimekko tablecloth (no runner, unfortunately). It was still more than I ever wanted to pay for a tablecloth, but it was better quality than my second choice.
Numbers 6 and 7 intrigue me. What are they made of & how are they made? They almost look I could crochet a version.
Home Goods has a nice selection if you like embroidery and glitz! (As I do, although not for table runners...)
Target has #8 too - for less than PB's $30
The weathered wood plank quilted fabric runner by shannaquilts is so charming. Such a lovely and clever thing.
@realcalm - number 7 is vinyl and not really textured like crochet. It's like the holes are punched out. I bought the gunmetal colored one recently to cover a scratched dining room table in a rental. It's very low maintenance and looks great. They also have a cool dahlia place mat that I use under a centerpiece in my dining room.
