Russel Wright is best known for his colorful American Modern dinnerware -- the most widely sold American ceramic dinnerware in history -- manufactured between 1939 and 1959. The simple, durable style of the dinnerware pushed Americans to embrace Modernism in the 40's and 50's and Wright's trademarked signature was the first to be identified with lifestyle-marketed products. Fans and collectors of the iconic tableware now have a chance to stock up on the classics because our very own Bauer Pottery here in Los Angeles has begun manufacturing select pieces from the original line:

Bauer, who is already known for their own style of vintage ceramics has formed a partnership with the Russel Wright company (a relationship that actually started in 1946 when Wright designed a line for Bauer) to manufacture select pieces from the original American Modern line. The initial line, which is available as of today, consists of thirteen of the original most popular and useful pieces including dishes, bowls, serving platters, serving bowls, tea set and a unique new coffee mug, in chartreuse, coral, seafoam, granite and white. The colors have been carefully matched to the original colors so that the new Bauer American Modern line can be paired with original rarer pieces.

White Enamel Four-P...
Assumed they are done right, reissuances like this are always great news. Though I am not actually sure how attractive table loaded with all of these pieces would look, I can imagine of the lovely grey and yellow serving pieces working well with simple white dishes with clean lines.
Edits: "Assuming that" and "a table"
I should really wake up before I post more, eh?
I'm glad to see this reissue just to complete a set that I've been collecting but the prices are steep considering I've found some of the original pieces for less on ebay.
I love this but trust me, most food doesn't look good on the coral. It's sort of like the old flesh Crayola color. I wish this line had better colors--my mother had the coral, and I've got some of her pieces, but they're hard to mix in.
I love the coral with desserts and fruit, but a whole table of it is a little Easter parade. But Russel's Seafoam is so beautiful with just about any food, and white and brown dishes ... my wallet is tingling.
OH now I see. when I saw the picture on the other post, I recognized the RW-AM, but the colors did not look right. Now I see. Good job. My friend Jose has nearly every piece ever made. He'll get a kick out of this. Of course, he probably already knows about it.
This and Iroquis were the 2 from Russel Wright I love from the RW catalogue and I'm glad American Modern is being reissued, at least in the more popular/useful pieces anyway.
I would love to see Franciscan Ware's Starbust pattern be reissued otherwise, I'll just seek it out second hand.
I bought 2 of the same pitcher ,the original years ago for about $20 and a remake at the thrift store recently for $3, just happy to see the difference in how it was made.
