Typically we're most attracted to hotels that boast a great view of the ocean, quiet rooms and hundreds of amenities to keep us busy until we can no longer handle it. While all of that is great, and there's certainly nothing wrong with it &mdash we're just trying to break out of our shell and found the perfect place to do so.
The Finca Naranja defies what we typically look for in a hotel stay. It's located in a rural area of southern Spain, there aren't any shopping malls or Targets near by and it's family owned. Maybe we're getting older, or maybe we're just getting pickier, but this is all sounding too good to be true to us.
The hotel embraces their lack of entertainment &mdash their goal is to help you relax and soak up the small pleasures in life with their country on the outside, modern on the inside space &mdash they're kid friendly too! The owner runs the hotel with her two small daughters.
The suite de lux is one of the selling points (plus it's only 140 euro per night!). Everything is authentic, real, rustic and romantic &mdash the bed linens, the artwork, the marble floors and can you even believe those double doors? The stark contrast of the bright white walls, dark woods and even darker leather furniture is breath taking. Then you walk outside and you're thrown back into reality of how those things really don't matter (even though they're wonderful) and you're surrounded by peaceful acres of rural land.
Due to the fact that there is no restaurant located in Finca Naranja &mdash you have the option of dining out in nearby cities, or using your own personal, in-room kitchenette. The kitchenette has everything you'd need to cook meals and still mimics the style and beauty of the hotel. The white cabinets, walls and floors accentuate the wood ladder and other rustic elements. The textural contrast of country and modern blossom here.
