In a room usually dominated by shiny tile and hard stone, the textures of brick, wood, and concrete add a lovely, unexpected warmth.

With the exception of the very last picture, all of them creep me out for one reason or another. I'll stick with my traditional bathroom, thank you.
You do that,
Seriously the look is nice.
I like the simple look of number 5 with the copper pipe against the cement. I wonder what it would be like to shower under though being so used to a regular type shower-head? Maybe nice with lots of water pressure?
This weekend I was watching the movie The Holiday. I just love the English cottage, especially the bathroom with the soaking tub and stone walls. There are some photos on this blog: http://hookedonhouses.net/2010/12/05/kate-winslets-english-cottage-in-the-holiday/
I immediately started imagining all the injuries I would sustain via my inevitable fall into that in-floor concrete tub in pic #9.
Some really interesting elements in all of these.
I once had a small apartment with a small bathroom with a good size cement shower (no tub). The edges in the shower were all curved, and this shower was so easy to clean. The bathroom was warm, the water was plentiful and hot. It was great.
