The living room looks lovely and lived in. The crystal chandelier with candle-shaped lamps and exposed bricks add a rustic touch. But I think that the large glass window with a wide window sill is the best part of this room.The idea of setting up a television on top of the fire place may not be a good idea.
It looks like an electric fire place, so the heat isn't going up, it's getting shot out by vents up front. The TV on top is fine. You see this a lot in Boston actually in the old brownstones. Fire places in the center of rooms.
