There's so much to love in this picture... the herbs drying on the rack, the vintage metal baskets, the copper pots and pans. It's everything a cozy rustic kitchen should be!
To emulate the look, you can use a piece of driftwood (or even a large, sturdy fallen branch, if you don't live near the coast) and simply hang twine and hooks off the wood to make your very own pot rack.
Though the first thought may be "rustic," this rack would work just as well in a modern or traditional setting too.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Meh. Doesn't really look all that functional. Just looks like decor. I like rustic and I like drift wood but this looks like some Katy Brown would knock out.
We have this same setup in our kitchen area, living on the Kitsap Peninsula we have a lot of access to some wonderful driftwood specimens.
I like it. You could make it more functional with larger, heavy hooks. The only caveat in a rental is your often not allowed to nail pot racks into the ceiling.
Even a nice-looking piece of 4x4 lumber can work well.
Ciro Pasciuto, who used to own La Panzanella bakery in Seattle would hang a tree branch in his bakery, too. He said, when there is too much moisture, the branch absorbs it. When it is too dry, the branch gives off moisture. I don't know if it really did that, but it's a romantic notion.
This looks like something from a Skyrim kitchen.
OMG. It's awesome. I really like this photo. But I think the same like A.Lewellen that it may by not as functional as it can be. I want to make something similar to this in my kitchen, but not with using a driftwood.
Favorite comment of the day...so true!
Thats so cute! I don't have driftwood but since I live in the Poconos I have no shortage of downed sticks after Sandy hit us!
